i want to start playing the electric guitar

i want to start playing the electric guitar,but i know absolutely nothing except the fact that you need the guitar and an amp,planning on buying used ones but can you guys give me some guitar recommendations that aren’t too pricey? and i’d appreciate any tips for total noobs
