Matching "The Tempest" characters to their WFM counterparts.

The Tempest and WFM share numerous narrative elements, so I want to match the cast of WFM to their Shakepearian counterparts. Some characters might not have a direct counterpart but share the same narrative function.

Prospero --> Prospera: This is obvious since they share a name. They are both highly educated individuals with a manipulative streak, and were both thrown into exile for practicing witchcraft

King Alonso --> Delling: They are both key figures in Prospero/a's exile and the highest political authority in the story. Alonso is the king of Spain and conspired with Prospero's brother to exile Prospero, while Delling is leader of the Benerit Group with final say on everything like whether or not a suit is a Gundam.

Ferdinand --> Miorione: They're both the children of the kings and the love interest to the magicians' daughters

Miranda & Ariel --> Ariel & Tanuki: Miranda is Prospero's daughter while Ariel is a spirit that works for him. Hard to determine which WFM character is the spirit and which one is the daughter so I'm throwing them together. Although, I would argue that Suletta is the Tempest!Ariel counterpart because she is being used as a means to an end. Plus now that Prospera has what she needs from our Tanuki she gave Suletta her "freedom," just like Prospero did at the end of the Tempest.

Caliban --> El0n/El4n/El5n: Caliban is the son of the Sycorax and a servant of Prospero. He was raised as Prospero's son but was enslaved after assaulting his daughter. This is probably the biggest stretch, but I'm making the Elans, especially El5n, the Caliban counterpart because they share the same narrative role. El5n has tried stealing Ariel, and assaulted Suletta and is a possible wrench in everyone's plan just like Caliban.

Sycorax --> Belmeria: Sycorax died before the play began but gave birth to Caliban after being exiled for witchcraft. Belmeria is a witch just like Prospera and created the enhanced humans.

Stephano --> Shaddiq: Stephano is a bulter in Alonso's court. He became the new master of Caliban after getting the son of a witch mad drunk. Shaddiq is another big stretch and he might be a better Caliban counterpart, but I think he works better as a Stephano because he lacks the witchcraft connection that Elan has. Shaddiq does have more drive and ambition than Stephano who mostly wanted to kill Prospero because Caliban asked him. However, like El5n, Shaddiq is a looming threat that may throw all of Prospera's carefully laid plans to come crashing down.

Anyways, that's all the characters that have the biggest counterparts.
