Wind ruining my hair

Everyday I bike to school and I just get myself ready by making a middle part with just water and letting it air dry. Well at home it looks really good but when I step on my scooter the wind picks up and by the time I get to school the front of my hair looks really bad. Anyone know how I could avoid this from happening?
