My Experience With Pure Line Clinic (Dr Mesut Demir)- 3 Month Progress
I had a HT 3 months ago today at Pure Line Clinic.
TL;DR: Everything went really well, from the procedure to the recovery. I was originally planned for 4,000 grafts, but in the end, I had 4,600 as I had a good donor area.
I went with their premium package, which included: * Private transfer from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the clinic on the day of the HT and the following day for the hair wash, and from the hotel to the airport. * 2 nights at a 4-star hotel (I ended up booking an extra night after Turkish Airlines canceled my flight). * 6 months’ worth of vitamins. * 6 months’ worth of shampoo. * PRP.
The doctor and technicians decided on a new hairline for me and the number of grafts. I was initially planned for 4,000 grafts, but in the end, I received 4,600.
Speaking of the staff, I’ve been in contact with my advisor, before, during, and after the procedure. Communication has been a 10/10—he’s responsive and efficient. Great customer service.
The doctor speaks good English, so communication was easy. He would come in and check on me quite often.
The technicians are true professionals. You can tell they are very experienced. I know some people are skeptical and prefer the doctor to perform the HT, but honestly, there’s no one I’d rather trust than the technicians. They know their job, and there’s no room for improvisation. This clinic is not a hair mill; they only perform one HT per day, and the doctor is always nearby. Also, their English is sufficient for basic communication—if you feel pain or need a break, you can easily convey that.
The procedure went really well. I didn’t feel much pain during the local anesthesia, and the pain throughout the whole procedure was about 4-5/10. I had them administer more anesthetic as I could feel some discomfort from time to time during the extraction and implantation phases.
After the HT, I felt a bit hazy. I went straight back to the hotel, ordered room service, and took paracetamol. I didn’t feel any pain at all from the moment I left the clinic, even overnight. I had a good night’s sleep and felt well enough the next morning to take a stroll around the city center. I made sure to carry an umbrella to protect my head from the sun.
On the same day, I went back to the clinic for the hair wash. They removed the bandages and gave me instructions on how to apply lotion and wash my hair. My advisor accompanied me to the pharmacy to help me buy 2 years’ worth of Finasteride.
I know this is not standard at all clinics, but I’ve used the lotion and special shampoo every day since I left the clinic to help soften the scabs. By Day 9, all the scabs had come off.
I started taking vitamins as soon as I finished my antibiotics. In week 3, I started taking Finasteride and applying Minoxidil.
I’m now in month 3, and my hair has been growing non-stop. Surprisingly and fortunately, I didn’t experience the shedding phase.
To anyone considering a HT: do it! It gave me a huge confidence boost. Even though my hair has only just started growing, I already feel much more comfortable looking at myself in the mirror and taking pictures.
