What would happen if Master Chief decided to assassinate Serin Osman?

If Master Chief decided to assassinate Admiral Osman the head of ONI for whatever reason what would happen next? Would he be branded a traitor or would the new head of ONI cover it up? Why would he want to kill Osman in the first place?
