Worsted spinning help please?

I want to be able to spin a good three ply worsted yarn from home processed fleece. The blue in the photo is what I can do with a commercially processed merino/nylon top so I don’t totally think it’s a skill on the wheel issue. The white is a home combed shropshire done in opposing 3 ply.

I have also tried with a cormo and a corriedale and get similar results. I usually do 3-4 passes with the combs before pulling through a diz.

Am I doing something wrong in fiber prep? Or is this just the nature of home prepped worsted and I need to lower expectations?
