Insurance no longer accepts Prior Authorization for Tirosint
After several successful months of taking Tirosint and not feeling any side effects, my insurance now claims it no longer considers Tirosint a "preferred product", and does not require a prior authorization from my Doctor. Instead of paying $25 a month, I now have to pay $60 and that is not sustainable financially.
When I take the tablet form of Levo, I get bad stomach upset like I do when I eat gluten. I do not want to take Levo. It literally makes me sick. I am so stressed out over this, because my endo's office doesn't know what other steps they can take.
Does anyone know what I can do to have my medication covered at a fair price again?
