A very very hot take I have
Adam isn't bad. And I don't just mean character wise. I mean he's a pretty good person actually.
Look at the whole show from the perspective of heaven. Hell, forget that too, look at it as a person. Hell is for SINNERS. BAD POEPLE. There are rapists, murders, child abusers and what not down there. If you found out that there is actually a place that exist that hosts this scum, would you really be opposed to having them killed? Especially if it's sold to you as defending good people?
And yes, I acknowledge what he did to Vaggie. But if you found out someone you knew was sympathising with a criminal to the point of helping them escape, what would YOU do?
Yes, Adam is brash and rude. But he is more than correct to hate sinners. He's more than justified in wanting to kill them too! He's the father of humanity, why wouldn't he want to extract revenge upon those who have hurt his children? And don't we all say that rapists, murders, etc. deserve death?
I believe that not all sinners SHOULD be redeemed. Does Alastor really deserve heaven? And speaking of Alastor, people justify his killing due to the fact that he targeted bad people. ADAM IS DOING THE SAME THING, KILLING BAD PEOPLE. So many people in hell truly deserve eternal torture.
I do believe in Charlie's project. But Charlie really needs to think more about who should get the chance to be redeemed, at least as she is starting out.
I believe that if Charlie does manage to become successful in her projects, this is how it would work :
People who weren't actually all that bad would actually get redeemed over a period of time and go to heaven.
And the scum of humanity would be taught how to be better but would never leave hell. Just learn how to be better and live in some sense of peace in hell though.
We stand on hell side and hate heaven. What we really need to do is look from both sides.
Sorry if this offends anyone and feel free to comment any thoughts you have on this!
EDIT : SO ppl have misunderstood me. When I stated what I felt was the ideal for Charlie's plan, did I mention exterminations? NO. I don't like the exterminations! I think all sinners should be taken into Charlie's hotel when they think that they want to be redeemed.
Now, who goes to heaven? Those who have committed more minor sins or have committed sins due to situations after a redemption process get to go upstairs.
People who have caused severe harm? Mass murderers? Nope! They get to stay down there and repent but stay in the hotel, relative peace compared to the rest of hell but still not quite heaven.
Yes, people can change. Even a heinous criminal could. Does that mean they should go to paradise? No!
