Your opinions on vaginal douches ?

I have never personally used a vaginal douche but after some small vaginal infections that were close in time, I think I’d like to try. I’ve heard mixed ideas especially from doctors and internet articles, so I’d like some first hand experiences from women who have actually used them. My friends don’t really use them.

Have you found them helpful? Have they thrown off your pH? Weird lingering smells after use or everything feels even better?
