Edit: Holy shit. Didn't expect this to blow up the way it did to the point where the official HD2 Twitter brought it up. This is one of my first reddit posts and was originally inspired by a funny mental image I got during a longer than normal loading screen where a 5th Helldiver falling without a Hellpod drifted onto screen and then saluted before drifting back off screen as a funny easter egg. Originally, this was gonna stay as a funny mental image but one of my favorite content creators, Demily Pyro, actually motivated me to make this with her content.
