Umbilical Hernia - how do I lose weight now?
This happened last October. It isn't anything huge, and it isn't painful (though I can still feel it), but it has made me feel like i don't know how to proceed with my weightloss from here. I was doing a high protein diet once before and going to the gym 3-4 times a week to lift weights and was seeing great progress. I was eating 200g of protein with a 1900 calorie deficit (i wasnt on this though when the hernia happened). However, now I don't know how to eat or work out without the fear of making this hernia worse. Yes, I've seen a doctor, and they recommended an abdominal brace, but would wearing that when lifting weights be enough to prevent the hernia from getting any worse? I have a CT scan scheduled for a month from now, but want to be able to start doing something now. Any dietary and workout advice from medical professionals and dieticians would be much appreciated.
