Question about turning a PC into a router

For context I live in a dorm and I have a PS5 however the WiFi I have at the dorm doesn’t work with my PS5. The way they do their security just doesn’t match the PS5’s way of doing security. I’ve tried using the mobile hotspot feature on windows 10 and it does work just not well enough to a point where I can play games without dealing with high ping and really slow download times. So I recently bought an Ethernet card for my PC in hopes to essentially make a router from my WiFi connection into Ethernet so I can plug my PlayStations Ethernet port into the PC and get internet from there. However every solution I’ve seen seems to involve a separate OS running to make that Ethernet connection work which doesn’t work for me cause I only have 1 PC and would still like to have access to it when sharing the connection. So does anyone have a solution for me? Is there an application I can download that would make it work? If you need more clarification let me know! Thank you!
