Any practical way to get close to 1000Mbps speeds over wifi?

Hi, first post in this sub, hello!

I've just upgraded from a 600Mbps to 1Gbps on my internet service. I've tested at the router by plugging in ethernet and get very close to the advertised speed.

I'm interested in getting the best possible speed from my home office which is located approximately 8 metres away - and has 2 fairly thick walls in between.

Currently I have the following setup :

Living Room( Cable modem <-ethernet-> Deco M5) <-wifi-> (hallway Deco M5 in cupboard <-ethernet run through gap in floor space ->(Home Office - 8 port switch -> PC).

With the current setup I get around 400Mbps to the PC.

I'm definitely not upto speed on recent wifi - are there any products/standards on the market which might allow decent increase in speed?

If not I'll just bite the bullet and run some conduit/cable from the living room through to the hallway and stick a switch in the cupboard.
