My ex-bucking horse and his glow up

I got this guy from auction almost 2 years ago. He went thru the loose horse sale with a bunch of other ex bucking horses. I’ve included a current photo of him with his best friend (my other gelding) and a photo of what he looked like when we first got him home. I’m biased in thinking that he is so handsome! We have come so far. He was scared and unhandled when we got him home. Now he trailers well, I showed him in Halter classes last year. And this year we are hoping to do a little bit of light riding, maybe some walk trot classes. I have been consistently surprised with how fun, curious, and sweet he is. He would have made a terrible bucking horse 😆
