Getting braces soon need advice

so i'm almost 30 and getting braces soon (ceramic on top, metal on bottom) - invisalign isn't an option for me because i'm getting it for jaw surgery. im getting kinda nervous so hoping to get some advice here on feeling and looking more attractive and draw attention away from braces. also any advice on looking a bit more mature and adult .... thank you!
