Anyone else’s power bill nearly doubled this month?

We just got our power bill and it went from $120 to $220. We live in a small apartment and haven’t changed anything relating to our power. We did have to replace our space heater that we rarely used but I only ran it twice in the past month. That should not have increased our bill $100? I’m wondering if everyone is experiencing this or maybe our new space heater is a problem?
