Any other Huntsville natives resent Redstone Arsenal?

All my life growing up in Huntsville and Madison county I was told the only way I'd ever make a good living was to get an engineering degree and get one of those "good jobs" on the arsenal. I really grew to resent that type of thing, and still resent Redstone Arsenal and how much it seems to control everything about Huntsville. I'm lucky I've been able to build a good career that I find fulfilling away from all that.

Did anyone else have that experience, or just me?

This isn't even getting into the moral implications of the military-industrial complex....
