Hallo! What breed do you think he is?

Shelter dog brought in as a stray really hoping we can adopt him on Tuesday! So excited!! He's a wonderful eight year old man, but the shelter labeled him mix breed because they have no clue, I asked the guy to take a rough guess but I have no memory of what he said 😭 I think he's a German shepherd + Bernese mountain dog mix.

(Don't mind the donut he had surgery and keeps irritating his stitches also his name is Ernie!)
