Will India have its own Deepseek

Been following the deepseek news and it’s fascinating how China is leveling the tech field. From social media to space programs the innovation coming out of china is at par and now surpassing the west. India is equivalent talent. Infact if you dig deep into openAI’s first model and most technological advancement in US you’ll find an Indian researcher at the midst. However, Indian innovation is still stuck in copycat mode. A lot of Bangalore tech culture is actually reverse engineering western success models and recreating for Indian/Asian markets. Why don’t ewe have similar technological innovations from India and how do we get there?

My POV is true innovation genuinely lies in grassroots rural India. These folks however lack social and economic support to innovate. What gets India to join and advance the tech race too?
