The Name of the Wind and The Broken Earth

Hey all,

I’m considering picking up The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and The Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin. I love character-driven stories and solid world-building, but I’ve heard mixed things.

Are these worth the buy? What should I expect from both series?
