Costco food return

So this customer got 5 different food items from Costco, two of which were their pre-made meals, and the other three are olive oil almond butter and pancake mix. Unfortunately they didn’t change their address from spot they were on vacation in and they were really hours away from where I was working. I looked it up and Costco takes food returns in the case of expired food but where exactly does this issue fall? Do I exploit the return policy and take 45% out of the packaging for myself?
