Interior Design school

Hello, I want to be an interior designer it’s something that has interested me for years and I reached the point where I’m ready to go to school so I can have my dream job even though I hate school and struggle with lectures. My biggest concern is the financial weight of going to really any school and most jobs that offered tuition assistance are for select programs which rarely include anything in the art and design schools. I know I could apply for student loans but that is a last resort for me, I really don’t want to be 60k in debt.

So does anyone have any recommendations? I live close to UNT and from what I can tell they have a good program so that is my top choice if that makes a difference.
