Barcelona ——> Rome

Flying to Barcelona on October 15th! I’m interested in traveling by eurail to Italy, with hopes of visiting Vernazza/cinque terre, and going onwards to Rome & Vatican City, and maybe even further south. I’m planning on being in Europe for ~3-4 weeks and would love to hear ideas or thoughts on routes, places to stop along the way, etc.
