Parents are always right!

You waste my time.

Ignore my pleas not to involve me in these things.

Force me to talk to "relatives" I’m meeting for the first time and just ignore the insults they throw at me. But when I insult back, I’m treated like a war criminal.

And then, purposefully divert discussion topics to academics, even though seeing me study all day doesn’t quench their thirst.

And on top of that, even argue with me: "Nahi, tu ye test dega."

I ask, "Lekin kyu? Mera 2 ghanta travelling waste karna aur vo sab, mai ye module se chape hue tests ke liye du?"

"Tu hamesha bhagta hai in sab cheezo se."

"Accha? Kya kaam ka hai us test ka, batiye?"

"Jee mein toh aane hi wala hai na, de de."

"Lekin mai ghar pe FULL syllabus de raha hu na?"

"TU YE TEST DEGA, VARNA GHAR KE BAHAR NIKAL!"

"Lekin mai toh FULL de raha hu na?"

"VO ALLEN WALE PAGAL THODI HAI TESTS LAGANE KE LIYE. VO TOH SAHI HI BOLEGA NA?"

After an hour of crying and pleading, they finally get the point that a primary class kid can understand.

And honestly, yeah, absolutely! Because you're always right! Parents are ALWAYS right. I am always in the wrong.

And still, after all this, at a random function, they have the audacity to say:

"Beta, smile kar! Photo accha aayega ehehe!"

Yeah, sure.

Why not? Why wouldn’t I smile?

Well i can understand his mind too as it's too smooth and can be read through like a book

And i can even predict his thoughts :-

After all as a parent i am doing everything right! Heck, I’m ALWAYS RIGHT, so he MUST OBEY MY NONSENSE.

Pouring in money,

LITERALLY seeing you suffer the consequences of depression,

And even though I can clearly see you forming a fake shell of happiness to cope,

Getting slim to the bone and having several mental issues to deal with

But still, I’m doing everything right as a parent, so he MUST be happy with it! He’s just ungrateful.

He must be okay, right? Totallyokay.

And finally: "Smile, beta
