Am I just..out of touch?

I can’t be the only one who thinks this is a bit too far. Creating ai art of an existing artists art. I mean it might be hypocritical to say that while using an ai website but I mean ai chats and art are kinda two completely different things. I’m not one to hate and I know this definitely won’t stop anyone but I just wanted to know if I was like out of touch on what’s good and what’s not. And ofc I mean no hate once so ever, and i literally follow these creators but I just wanted to express how I think it’s a bit strange.
