Should I not light my menorah after Hanukkah?
My father has passed away and I look forward to lighting his handmade menorahs every year to honor & celebrate Hanukkah “with him”. Unfortunately this year I wasn’t home to do and am just getting back in town, but wanted to still light the menorahs.
I was curious the customs and traditions on this. I know you’re technically “supposed” to only on the nights of Hanukkah, but are the exceptions? I don’t want to do anything sacrilegious, but I’d still like to honor my father around this time. Just wanted to see if there were any thoughts or suggestions on this, thank you in advance.
Photo is from a past Hanukkah. My father made the large one in the back from stone and the small front right from steel, it’s an honor to have them to cherish his memory with.
