KSP1 - Orbital Space Dockyard

Man this has been some fun. If you are finding KSP2 underwhelming and still into KSP1 I've been having a tonne of fun with a few mods building this dockyard. (Which I will say, its incredible how far this game has come since release - The fact i can run all these part mods, parallax, eve, scatterer, astron visual pack all in the highest resolution at 3440x1440 with anywhere between 60-140fps is just incredible. I am running a 13th gen i7 which does have really good single core performance so this helps - still dog shit on KSP2 though)

Starship is just a giant and this mod allows for 3 variants - tank type, crew type and cargo bay.

Starship has aided me in the building, resupply and crewing of my little dockyard (which has now grown even more) which plays a huge part considering I am using kerbalism
To say its a beast is an understatement.

And boy is the FreeIVA mod a breath of fresh air - this mod is incredible and I have been seriously blown away with how much compatibility it has had so far with my space station parts and starship as a whole. The ability to travel around the interior of these parts just brings a whole new layer of gameplay.
The best part was my big gravity ring on my dockyard. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I could actually walk through normally by toggling gravity on

I am currently playing with the outer planets mod so my current goals are building a LKO orbital dockyard to build interplanetary behemoths to reach the outer planets and also establish and build bases on a few planets.

Just thought I'd share some screenshots of the mission so far and the list of key mods I am currently running with (amongst the other truck full of them that I won't mention)

- Extra Planetary Launchpads
- Near Future mods (all of them)
- Kerbalism
- Starship Expansion Project / Starship Expansion Project IVA

- Kopernicus (Outer planets)
- Bunch of part mods and visual mods

- Artemis Construction Kit (NASA SLS rocket parts)

- I am also running Kerbal Konstructs and KSC Extended but I am still not fully understanding of how these are going to be beneficial yet as I don't know much about them other then the KSC looking different. I was hoping I could set up a permanent Starship Mechazilla tower in one of the bays but I haven't figured that out yet.

Some screenshots of the mission so far.

Before I added the docking trusses - was extremely tight fit. The kerbals had to retract one side of the solar panels just so this could dock. Thankfully I have a fair few RTGs on board
