Dental Malpractice case
OK, a potential client (NJ) presented a case where an implantologist removed 3 back molars and placed the implants and of course these were load bearing teeth
the implantologists also trained other dentists to be impla tologists It appears he had 3 or 4 students who may or may not have been license either in New Jersey or United States. The students were left alone to work the patient for over a hour without significant supervision
The students were described as South Asian possibly India or Pakistan, with very heavy accents
But over the next 7 months, there was bone loss, fracturing and the client lost approx 9 teeth and had very significant following two visits that lasted for up to five or six weeks
when the patient returned for the the implantologist and attempted to sell a full dental arch for 17500 to the patient and took many pictures.
She was turned down by an attorney specializing in personal injury and malpractice.
I am a solo general practice of near 3 years , I have not handle a dental malpractice case.
This seems lime failure to warn and failure to supervise.
My question:
I understand I will need to locate a dentist to this situation and provide professional opinion about the merits of the case/malpractice, before filing.
Thoughts about properly locating or approaching a dentist with this situation would be appreciated.
