Work friend fired without reason
My friend at work has had her contract terminated. She was sent an email saying that she was fired effective immediately. In leui of notice period they have paid her.
The issue is they have not given her reasons for termination. She requested formal letter explaining the reason she was removed from a training course, within three days they terminated her from her current post.
I have seen emails between staff members stating that they believed her employer removed her from the course (she was not informed of this), the person in charge of education at work has not contacted her and her line manager was not informed of her termination.
I have told my work friend about correspondence regarding her situation. My question is if this case goes to tribunal will i be expected to recall the emails i saw between different staff members, i myself was not included in the email chain and only discovered the existence of said emails through work place gossip.
Im not sure if it will help her case to know about these emails. She is hesitant about going to tribunal as she would just like to be informed about why she was terminated.
I am wondering what is the best course of action for her and how best can i support her without also jeopardising my position at the company.
