Finally saw this today.

I had avoided seeing this for so long since I knew what it was about, more or less and was wary of watching a heavy film. But I finished shogun, and decided to jump into it after hearing the movie takes place around the same time. I was raised with Christianity, though the two priests are jesuits/catholics, but I was familiar with a lot of the mindset presented here… I found Liam Neeson’s character, Ferreira to be so compelling and Andrew Garfield’s character so familiar… What are your thoughts with it? The length didn’t bother me in the least. I’ve noticed as I venture more in to film world that Scorcese’s films are so engrossing to me I feel like I’m sucked into a visual novel; the story is so gripping. I felt the same about Killers of the Flower Moon as well. As usual, I’m sure this will stay with me for a long while.
