Reactions to the TikTok Ban

I don't know about anyone else here but what are your feelings to people's reactions to TikTok shuttering? Like people finally pointing out it was never about Chinese data collection and all about government control. Does this give any hope for people to finally wake up and start questioning the government more or probably nothing will change?
