[COIV8] The relationship between pillars
The three pillars have to be the most well designed great old ones in my opinion. The more I think about them the more interesting things I realize about the symbolism each represents and the relationships between those symbolism.
God Almighty holds the title of the creator, but MGOD is also the Goddess of Creation. This might seem like overlapping symbolism but there is an important distinction. MGOD’s symbolism of creation requires the act of birthing which means she still need something to create something while God Almighty’s symbolism of creation is that of Creatio ex nihilo, he needs no requirement, he can create something out of nothing. Whatever he envisions simply become real.
God Almighty also holds the title of the Omniscient and Omnipotent One, and this title in my opinion is the key behind the nature of his relationship with the Celestial Worthy.
We know that the Celestial Worthy is the ultimate theft, his power is never his own, this is reflected in all three of his pathways, each has their own method of making others’ power their own. But since the Celestial Worthy is also the king of space time, being everywhere and at any time, that means he can steal and replicate any power he wants. Is there anything more dangerous than a theft who has a key to every house? So despite not being the Omnipotent one, he can achieve essentially the same thing. This is difference from God Almighty, whose power is entirely his own. One can see this clearly in the white tower pathway, whose power of imitation is very similar to that of record and replication of the door pathway. You can imagine the former as studying for the test and the later as bring a cheat sheet to the exam room. If you are the student who study for the exam, perhaps you would be annoyed by someone who cheats his way to the very top. That might be why God Almighty hate the Celestial Worthy, though I believe the bigger reason is because the Celestial Worthy’s symbolism of change and error.
The title of the Omniscient and Omnipotent One means that God Almighty should be perfect and so should his creations. For an already perfect being who can do anything, improvement is impossible, so change can only mean one thing, error and degradation. Hence why Celestial Worth is such a thorn, as long as he exists a perfect being will remain imperfect, perfection will degrade as errors are introduced. For a creator is there anything more infuriating than to see his perfect creations be twisted and changed by an unsightly theft? This also mean that God Almighty might also hate MGOD but perhaps not as much as his arch nemesis. MGOD is the origin of evil, and what is evil but deviation from the good and the perfect. But unlike Celestial Worthy, MGOD can only introduce deviation through birth, in other words, she can’t twist the original being but only the offsprings. In away she is truly the daughter of the OC, having both the power of creation and change but can only use it through the roundabout way of birthing.
