[lotm newbie] just finished volume 5 🔥🔥🔥

I just finished volume 5 and man! It’s so freaking peak! Now I will admit this volume was a very bumpy one for me, so imma start out with the ending- THAT WAS THE BEAT ENDING TO A VOLUME EVERRRR! All that chaos with George 3’s apotheosis ritual was crazy. Zaratul appearing outta nowhere was crazy good too, especially how Klein got away just in time. Speaking of Klein, sequence 3 let’s go!!!!!!! Scholar of yore is so cool and op. I cannot emphasize how crazy good that ending was… never thought I would feel bad for trissy. Now… on to the not so good parts. Ngl the volume also had the best beginning, with that banger fight with Amon and the marauder pathway demigod. The volume had an amazing start. But honestly it was kind of a boring volume in between. Prolly gonna get jumped but still. Of course tensions rising between everyone in backland and monocles giving me trauma is still really good, but there wasn’t that much action in between. There wasn’t really a clear goal in this volume, and nothing “new”. Klein didn’t get a new identity or adventured to any new place. But really, there wasn’t that much action in between? Correct me if I’m wrong? There was all those fights with hvin Rambis and qonas but that was early on. The only notable thing in the middle was the air bombing and the start of the war, that part was peak. Otherwise ngl it was kinda boring. City of silver plot was fire tho. But seriously absolute banger of a volume, a bit lower than 3 and 4 but the climaxes make up for it.
