Multiplayer trouble

Anybody else find it super tough to find randoms to co-op with? I wanted to farm some vigor so I turned on matchmaking at the seed just before the Pieta boss fight and let it run for a good while and nothing. Then I also tried summoning someone to my world at a different place and let it run for a bit and not a single person ever joined lol. I would have thought there would be a good bit of people playing this it’s only a few months old.
