Connecting to 2K Doorbell

In adding a 2k doorbell... The mobile phone app recognizes the device upon scanning the QR. I am able to connect to the device hot spot, but only if I disconnect from my Wi-Fi and connect to the hotspot in my device's Wi-Fi settings. The phone notifies me that the Lorex app wants to use a temp Wi-Fi network to connect to my device. I select connect, and my phone tells me that I have successfully connected, but the app itself just shows the loading spinner, and eventually fails to move on to the next steps. It looks like my phone may be jumping back and forth between the doorbell hotspot and my Wi-Fi network mid-process. Any idea how I can address? I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro.
