Heater stopped working. Replacing the furnace will cost $6000+

I feel like it doesn't get cold enough here to justify this huge expense. I live in a very small house (approx 600 sf). Has anyone tried radiant heat? It's $100 for a radiant heater on Amazon. If you've tried it, does it work for your house? Thanks for any advice, and happy new year!
