Old Manda Bridge Mixed Rail & Road 1967 - 1944 Colomars, Sud de la France
A first road-rail bridge was built at the end of the 19th century allowing the passage of the Central-Var line. The eastern part of the bridge destroyed by the bombing on August 2, 1944, this part has been replaced (red arrow, photo 7), then in 1966, it was decided to replace this narrow bridge with a wider road bridge built slightly further downstream. After commissioning of the latter, the railway bridge is completely dismantled. There is nothing left but some foundations of the piles that can still be seen when the Var is particularly low in summer.
