Didn’t receive Receipt for my purchase

I purchased sneakers from the Louis Vuitton boutique on Michigan Ave in Chicago yesterday. When I returned to my hotel, I realized that the receipt wasn’t in the bag. I contacted the associate who helped me (she had kindly shared her number for future purchases), and she mentioned that she would email the receipt to me. However, I haven’t received it yet.

Is this a normal experience for others? Additionally, the sneakers were placed in a generic LV box rather than the specific sneaker box that usually includes the sneaker name, size, etc. Since this is my first purchase from Louis Vuitton, I’m not sure if this is standard practice.
