Sweet Wild Orange - smelling off?

I like the smell of it in the tub but once I rub it on my hands it gets this petrol-y smell? It’s really irritating.. Does anyone else experience this too? Or is it a batch thing?

Best before date I’d 08.12.25 so it can’t really be off..
