Let me preface this post by stating that this subreddit is not affiliated with dadsrfunny officially. This is a fan subreddit dedicated to discussing and archiving dadsrfunny content, or even creating new fan content. Mary And Dads Minecraft Adventures (MADMA) was a minecraft survival series posted onto the YouTube channel dadsrfunny. dadsrfunny was a fairly popular channel with 120k subscribers and a lot of videos. MADMA was the main reason I got into Minecraft and was very influential in my life. For this reason, I think of them quite often. I am by no means dadsrfunny's biggest fan, but I love it a lot and want it to stick around on the internet. Imagine my dismay when I found out the domain dadsrfunny.com was expiring in May 2023! The website will be on the wayback machine, so it should be safe. However, I have seen too many r/lostmedia stories to know that if you like a piece of media a lot, you should keep a backup of it somewhere. That's what r/MADMA is, a backup. Complacency that media will always be there is exactly how media gets lost. The domains looming expiration date made me realize that dadsrfunny could disappear at any moment. And with no sign of them since 2015, besides https://twitter.com/Camberdraws I'm paranoid that may happen. I don't have a large hard drive to keep MADMA safe, and dadsrfunny is much more than downloadable files. It's an internet story, spread across many mediums. I think this story is worth remembering. So here is r/MADMA, a fleeting attempt to keep this story safe, hopefully not alone.
