Starter cost

Looking to get a starter bike for my kid. Found a base 27.5 rockhopper from ‘20 thats about $300. Seems like a pretty adequate bike for what he’s doing in good shape. Bluebook has it lower but local used prices on comps are in that area. Is that pretty standard price for that setup?
