newer to this case, but ive always been so bothered by how little time the McCanns spent with their kids.

when i first read and reread the timeline of events of May 3rd, it kind of bothered me how the McCanns started their day by dumping the kids off at the kresh. granted, i thought, they did pick up their kids for lunch and some playtime at the pool… but after that it was back to the kresh. i’m not a parent, but i’ve been around for my niece’s childhood, and one of the most exciting parts is being with that child to experience amazing things for the first time. why wouldn’t you want to spend a decent amount of time with your kids on vacation?

but then i read today in the PJ files that the resort’s daycare hours were 9am-12:30pm, 2:30pm-5:30pm, and 7:30pm-11:30pm.

there was only approximately a half an hour that the McCann children weren’t at the daycare during its daytime hours. the McCanns took full advantage of this daycare. what’s the point of bringing your kids on vacation with you if you don’t want to spend any time with them? honestly it seems like if the daycare was open longer, they may not have even picked up their kids or spent any time with them at all.

i have to wonder if they weren’t giving their kids sleep aids to ensure they wouldn’t be too inconvenienced by them while drinking with friends all night. i dunno. it just bothers me. why not just leave the kids at home with a nanny? this was obviously an adult vacation. is it perhaps the same (possible) reason they didn’t use the nighttime daycare? cheapness?

also… i find it hard to believe they were checking on their kids as often as they say they were. i don’t know about anyone else, but when i’m drinking with friends, time flies by. to stop what i’m doing less than every half hour to check on kids seems like it wouldn’t be worth the hassle (i would’ve just put them in the nighttime daycare. i highly doubt the daycare had the kids up all night… i’m sure they had sleeping arrangements, right?).

what are your guy’s thoughts? do you have any theories?
