Eddie scarpa and Vito’s accent in mafia ll?

So recently I’ve started to replay mafia ll (such a masterpiece) and interestingly I find their accents soo damn good so I was wondering what is their accent is it like New York accent or something? Especially when vito asks a question the sound goes up than down when asking a question ?
