Car having problems shifting gears.

I've got a 2019 Elantra and whenever I drive either on the highway or when going up an incline my car will have trouble accelerating normally and sometimes the gears won't shift. I will have my foot all the way on the gas at 4000-5000 rpm's going barely 40ish mph. Sometimes when this happens my rpm's will also start to drop and my car will stop producing any power. To add onto that I have a messed up camshaft that is getting replaced this Thursday. Will getting a new camshaft fix this issue or does this car have bigger issues that I need to look at. When I got it inspected at a Hyundai dealer they said the only issue with the car was the camshaft and they noted nothing wrong with the transmission when I brought up my issue. If there are any easy fixes let me know!!!
