I’m probably gonna lose my Medicaid benefits.

When I first applied for Medicaid, I had no job and was in search of one. Now I make about $14 an hour, and work 32 hours a week. Totaling around $1,792 a month, which I think goes over the income limit in Michigan. I have had a 16 hr work week this month, but it seems to be more of an exception than a rule. I’ve had family members that recommend I limit my hours at work, but I try to work as many hours a my job will give me because I live with a relative and hope to move out to my own apartment someday.

Recently I got the letter that says that I need to give my information for review to see if I’m still eligible for Medicaid. I really don’t think that I will still qualify. Is there anything I can do to make it more likely that I will qualify? If not, what are my options? I have a diagnosis of Asperger’s, but I don’t think that will get me any extra benefits.

If I don’t qualify for Medicaid, I’m hoping to find (semi) decent coverage. I don’t have cancer, but I have to take screenings for them since it runs in my family. I also hope that I can see a gynecologist to get sterilized. Lastly, I am thinking of seeing a therapist and looking into getting a Neurological evaluation to see if I have ADHD. It may be that I do not have the financial resources for that right now, but these are things that I’d like to look into for the future.

Sorry if it seems like I’m asking for too much! Any help is appreciated :)
