Intrarosa vs straight DHEA

46, post-hysterectomy + one ovary, on 0.05mg/day patch + 100 oral micronized progesterone as well as vaginal estradiol 2x a week. My sex drive is AWOL and my clitoris seems to be slowly disappearing as well as losing sensation. Not sure if this is hormones or a surgical side-effect (guessing both), but it freaking sucks.

I’ve read that Intrarosa is amazing, but my insurance won’t cover it and it’s like $300/month out of pocket, even with GoodRx. Wondering if anyone has tried just using straight DHEA? Intrarosa is 6.5mg DHEA (in a fancy form so they can patent and brand it and charge exorbitantly, of course). I can get a 180-count bottle of premium brand 5mg DHEA for like $35. Soooo 6 months/$35 vs 28 days/$300. Is there a reason not to try this?
