Atul Subhash case reflections and Root Cause Analysis

I am writing this with a very heavy heart. Ever since I've read about Atul's case, it has left me utterly disturbed. I went through the case history, read his suicide note and also saw his video. I know that there has been a massive outrage on many reddit subs but the truth of the matter is that even this case will die down in less than 7 days, Nikita will go scot free and will avenge her minor inconvenience on Atul's parents (I wish them all the strength in this world, I really do). In such a situation what can one do? The following are my realistic thoughts:

Pre-Marriage phase: 1) I read that Nikita's father was bedridden hence her marriage was conducted hastily. CTA: Do not go ahead with someone whose parents are in a financial mess (due to health factors in this situation because maintainence of her father was a costly affair) 2) Their marriage was conducted hastily. CTA: Don't do this, my fellas! I know there is a lot of societal obligations to marry at a certain age, but get to know to know the person, understand the person's hunger for money, go on dates and understand whether the person is asking for splitting bills. 3) Ask her views about Finances, mostly probably she'll give a politically correct answer but look at her change of expressions and the way she approaches that question.

Post-Marriage phase: 1) Don't be an innocent chap. While going in autos/taxis speak with them, know about their contacts and have some contacts of some goons of your locality handy. In worst situations, maintain friendly relations with them. 2) In Atul's and Nikita's case, her family started to demand money way back in 2019 (when they got married) for her father's treatment and also for purchasing property. CTA: Understand that these are the first signs, start recording everything (even though this was done, this was done at a much later stage). Visit lawyers and know more about the law, its loopholes, document everything and start putting it in various drives etc. 3) If everything fails, look for ways to leave the country. Although, given the current state of affairs, I would suggest everyone to quit this country because honestly there isn't anything left for a middle class man without political connections. This includes bundling your finances into some offshore entity and fleeing there (assuming you have no liabilities back in India).

I would like to know the suggestions of other members of this group as well. As long as men are not united this pure unadulterated evil will keep on existing and thriving.
