seven string guitars?

i've been playing guitar for about three years and now i'm finally caving and getting a seven string. i own a jackson guitar and i like it, and i've also played an ibanez that i loved, so those two brands would be nice, as well as any others. as the subreddit states i am looking for a guitar that is good for metalcore, melodic hardcore, and all other genres in this space. my price range is $1,200 or below. i'm also looking for a good amp under $500. thank you so much and happy new year!
