Rent costs in Doral - worth it ?

Hi, guys . I currently live in Hialeah and pay about $2,000 a month for a 1 bed/1 bath 824 square foot apartment . It is a nice size for my wife and I and we have a nice balcony overlooking Miami from one of the top floors . The problem is that I believe this is expensive for Hialeah and there are no real entertainment or night life venues . I am thinking of moving later this year to Doral around cityplace or downtown Doral . The rent is a little more , around $2,200-$2,300 but the buildings are modern construction (8-10 years old ), have great amenities , and plenty of cafes , bars , and restaurants to walk to . Supermarkets also close by . Do you guys think the prices for these rents in Doral are worth the money ? I ask because despite the amenities , the apartments are smaller than my current apartment in Hialeah . Some charge $2,200 for a studio that is only 490 square feet . Some apartments go for $2,400 for 700 square feet and others go for $2,800. I think $2,800 is too expensive and I’m looking into the $2,300 range tops . Currently , I make about $120,000 a year which is about $6,100-$6,200 a month after taxes , deductions , retirement, etc . Is it worth moving here for the entertainment, the modern amenities and conveniences , etc especially if I am paying maybe a little too much for Hialeah ? Thanks for your input .
