Command to /give myself a spawner in 1.6.4

EDIT*** 1.6.2 version of minecraft

Everytime I do:

/give <user> mob_spawner 1

I get an error stating "mob_spawner is not a valid number"

I have also tried "minecraft:mob_spawner" and "spawner".

What's the proper command?
